The world after Covid 19 will undoubtedly be different at all levels, the most important of which is the level of urban planning; Urban planning must be taken into account in the post-pandemic phase of Covid 19. One of the reasons for the spread of the new Corona virus at the level of any country is the large movement of people between cities, especially if the movement takes place from a city that is the focus of this virus, therefore, the governments of a number of countries around the world were forced to take difficult and tough decisions to limit or prohibit the movement of residents, including suspension of the international and domestic flights and banning the movement between cities, and even the closure of entire cities completely, the complete and partial curfew, but the matter came to preventing entry and exit to certain neighbourhoods within the same city in some countries. Therefore this paper tries to explore the horizons of urban planning after the emerging Corona pandemic, Covid 19, and review the proposed urban planning alternatives to deal with these exceptional situations and how to apply them in the real World. Urban planning models have been reviewed as well to explore if they can help. Finally, this paper proposes a model of self-sufficient cities as a way to deal with this pandemic.
