العلاقة بين تذبذب بعض الثلاجات الألبية في إيطاليا والنرويج وتطور ساحل دلتا النيل خلال القرن العشرين
يعيش فى دالات أنهار کوکبنا الأرضي أکثر من 300 مليون نسمة ، 10% منهم يعيشون على أرض دلتا النيل ، ولکن تشير التوقعات إلى أن مستوى سطح البحر سيرتفع فيما بين نصف متر ومتر کامل حتى نهاية القرن الحادي والعشرين ، وحدثت التغيرات المناخية نتيجة زيادة نسبة غاز ثانى أکسيد الکربون فى الغلاف الجوي للأرض ، ولهذا السبب بدأت الغطاءات والأودية الجليدية في الانصهار، مسببة ارتفاعا فى مستوى سطح البحر العالمي، إضافة إلى عدة عوامل محلية تسهم في تفاقم مشکلة غرق ساحل دلتا النيل.
يهدف هذا البحث لدراسة العلاقة بين معدلات تذبذب الأودية الجليدية الألبية وبين معدلات تراجع ساحل الدلتا ، بلإعتماد على مقارنة وتحليل مجموعة من الخرائط الطبوغرافية والمرئيات الفضائية المتعددة التواريخ، إضافة إلى المسح الميداني لسواحل الدلتا، بهدف رصد تغيرات شکل خط الساحل منذ بداية القرن العشرين وحتى الآن.
ومن ناحية أخرى تم رصد التغيرات المورفولوجية التى ظهرت في أکثر من 200 وادي جليدي في إيطاليا والنرويج فيما بين عامي 1908 و2002، بالاعتماد على الدراسات السابقة التى تناولت هذا الموضوع ، بالإضافة إلى الدراسة الميدانية التي قام بها الباحث عامي 2007 و2012 على أحد ألسنة ثلاجة “جوستندالسبرين Jostedalsbreen“ بالنرويج التي تعد أکبر ثلاجات قارة أوربا.
